A little About the Artist... Carolina is a city kid at heart, with an interesting family tree. She's the daughter of Steve First, the muralist, who was known as "The Michelangelo of Cleveland" because of his fresco paintings, and of Charlet Barnes First, accomplished visual artist and playwright. She's the sister of Chuck First, accomplished architect in the state of Virginia, and mom to Quinn C. MacKenzie Hale, founding owner of Grey Melon (Check him out at www.greymelon.com) and Julia Barnes Garmon, Graphic Artist & Web Site Designer. Carolina is also founding Executive Director of Art On Wheels, Inc., a local nonprofit traveling arts education organization, now in its 19th year of operating.
